Applying for a Prevention and Communities Grant.
Our current Prevention and Communities (P&C) Grants Programme comes to an end in September 2023. We are currently inviting organisations to apply for the new programme.

Once you have completed your application pack please email it to preventionandcommunities@birmingham.gov.uk
The deadline for submitting grant applications is Noon on 9th May 2023. Applications submitted after this deadline will unfortunately not be considered for inclusion in the P&C programme.
Timeline of Grant Application Process
- Organisations must submit their application by Noon 9th May.
- Applications are assessed by the Officer Panel, then the Citizen Panel and finally, the Awards Panel.
- The decision on whether the application has been successful will be communicated by the end of July 2023.
- Successful grant applications will be awarded between August and September 2023.
- The new program of commissioned services will commence on 1st October 2023.
Help for those submitting a Grant Application.
To assist any organisations with their grant application, BVSC and BCC will be hosting regular 30 minute virtual surgeries open to all grant applicants to answer any questions or concerns that may arise. These can be accessed online or, if you prefer, in person at BCC's Lifford House in Stirchley, or BVSC's office by Snowhill Station. BVSC and BCC are committed to supporting organisations who wish to apply for the P&C Grants Programme. We invite prospective applicants to take part in this online workshop where we will work through the opportunity, the application and top tips to make your application as strong as possible. This sessions will be led by Tony Carr of 4frontpartners who delivers a weekly one-hour webinar for BVSC members looking at different aspects of business development and submitting funding applications. He will bring this expertise into the room and talk about strong applications in general and make specific reference to the P&C form.
