In addition to providing allotments to members of the public, many of whom are 50 and over, the association has created a plotthat is more accessible e.g. with raised beds, so that older people who cannot manage a whole plot and those with mobility challenges have somewhere they can 'grow their own'. 
The allotments themselves and the new raised bed plot are accessible.  They often run social events troughout the year.
