Birmingham Carers Hub

Birmingham Carers Hub is a partnership of not-for-profits who have come together under the management of Forward Carers, to deliver support and services for unpaid Carers in Birmingham. Partners reflect the diverse communities across Birmingham, so they can reach every Carer who needs us with the support they need. We are funded and commissioned by Birmingham City Council and BSOL Integrated Care Board, who are integrated with the Children’s Trust Birmingham, enabling delivery of the all age citywide Carer’s pathway.

Birmingham Carers Hub offers a wide range of support and services to Carers in Birmingham including:

  • Statutory Carer’s Assessments If caring for an adult in Birmingham is impacting you, Birmingham Carers Hub can provide a Statutory Carer’s Assessment.
  • The Carer Friendly ID Card is available for FREE to all unpaid Carers registered with Birmingham Carers Hub.
  • Dementia Carers Hub offers a range of support to Carers who look after someone living with dementia.
  • Digital Online Support provides free mobile data, opportunities to learn or improve your online skills.
  • Feeling Safe & Secure Carers Emergency Response Service for peace of mind and find out what to do if you feel unsafe in your caring role.
  • Financial Support guidance for Carers to help through the Cost of Living Crisis.
  • Information and Advice is available to anyone caring for someone who is elderly, sick, disabled or frail within Birmingham.
  • Parent Carers Hub specific support if you are caring for a child aged 4- 25 years with additional needs living in Birmingham.
  • Support From Health Professionals it is important that Carers are recognised and supported in health settings such as GP surgeries and hospitals.
  • Training and awareness courses free training and awareness opportunities.
  • Wellbeing, Relaxation & Time Out If you care for someone in Birmingham you may be entitled to free yoga and relaxation sessions.
