Sunshine Club @ Maryvale Community Project
Sunshine club is a social club for adults with learning disabilities, held every Tuesday from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, the club gives participants the opportunity to make and develop friendships and enjoy taking part in various activities. The weekly fee is £5.00 which includes light refreshments and an evening meal for an additional £2.00.
In-out club is held every Thursday from 10:30am – 12:30pm for adults with learning disabilities, which offers a wide range of informal educational activitries including Tai Chi, Cycling sessions, cookery workshops and many more fun activities. The weekly fee is £5.00
Lunch Club for the over 55's is held every Tuesday, 12:30pm-2:30pm.The weekly fee is £5.00 which includes a freshly prepared two course meal with light refreshments, activities such as seated exercise, skittles, darts, boccia and entertainment within a social setting, as well as the opportinities to meet and develop new friendships within the local community.
Telephone befriending service, offers a free weekly telephone call to pople aged 55+, with the aim of reducing social isolation and loneliness. The services reaches those that are housebound or are experiencing health issues preventing them from regular contact with the outside world.
