Bofa Inspire CIC - Empower and Thrive: supporting adults with disabilities

Activity One: Health & Well-being (bi-monthly). These sessions will be running every other Wednesday, from 11am to 2 pm, 3 hours per session. Participants will benefit from a structured mix of physical, emotional, nutritional and social wellbeing activities. Session includes:
• One hour of inclusive physical activity.
Examples: armchair exercise, yoga, adapted sport, guided mobility walking.
Adapted for all ability levels
• One hour of nutrition education.
Nutrition and healthy eating; meal planning, budget-conscious eating
Preparation of meal (Sandwiches/ finger food)
• One hour of mindfulness & therapeutic activities
Examples: Gardening, breathwork, arts and crafts, knitting, painting.

Activity Two: Social Participation, and Confidence building
Peer-led support groups and social activities/outings. 10th December, and 10th June, each year, from 10am to 4pm.
• Examples: cinemas/museums/swimming/bowling; along with healthy lunch

Activity Three: Independence & Life Skills development (bi-monthly taster sessions) These sessions will be run every other Wednesday, from 11am to 1 pm, 2 hours per sessions

• Vocational pathways. Examples: gardening/catering/floristry/creative arts/ thereafter signpost, to continue areas of interest.
• Employment/volunteering readiness, includes budgeting, financial capability workshops
• Digital inclusion sessions, includes smartphone usage/AI tools/social media skills

Activity Four: 1:1 Support, will be accessible and ongoing throughout the course of the 2-year programme
• Personalised wellbeing plans from onset, with mid and end point reviews
• Advocacy and Signposting for continued activity, volunteering, training, employment, and additional specialist wraparound services.
