Leaf Creative Arts

Leaf Creative Arts aims to uplift and empower people from different communities and backgrounds through art, music, dance and storytelling.

We tackle loneliness and isolation, and encourage wellbeing and are passionate about making all of our work dementia-friendly and, where possible, intergenerational.

We work predominantly, but not exclusively, with people living with dementia, their carers and families. We are passionate about providing a balance between creative reminiscence and ‘making new memories’.

Our sessions are therapeutic, relaxing and fun and provide a great opportunity for people to socialise. Individual needs are a priority and participants work at their own pace.

Participants have the opportunity to connect with others, learn new skills and techniques and celebrate what they have created. We are champions of Dementia-Friendly Stirchley.

We run a weekly Monday session at Stirchley Baths, alternating between the following session types: reminiscence and craft groups, art sessions, steel pan sessions, a tea dance and a dementia-friendly community choir.

We also run a fortnightly Memory Club at West Heath Community Centre on Tuesdays. You can find out more information about this here.

We also occasionally work in neighbouring communities including Moseley and Edgbaston.
