The Hub Hazelwell (Ageing Together Social Project)
The Hub Ageing Together Social Project runs a programme of social and leisure activities within Kings Heath, Maypole area of Birmingham for adults. We offer a number of activities which are either free to access or at low cost. Our programme is varied and covers digital workshops to keep fit classes.

Digital Skills Drop In
Monday 11:00am - 12:00pm
Whether you are a complete beginner or just want to brush up on your digital skills, we can support you to be able to use your smartphone, tablet or laptop safely and easily. This is a free drop in sessions, everyone is welcome to join us for a cuppa and chat about all things digital. We also offer an equipment loan scheme.
Welcome Hub
Monday 1:00pm -2:30pm (fortnightly)
Come and join us for a cuppa and free toasted sandwich. We host a quiz but you can also bring along your own project. We are so looking forward to seeing you - no booking required.

Sew, Knit and Natter
Tuesday 12:00pm - 2:30pm
Bring along your craft work and make new friends! We meet to craft, teach each other, share and socialise. Currently we have a number of people who knit, crochet, stitch, make cards, make loop hook rugs, mindfulness colouring, card making and we are happy to expand beyond. Come and join us if you want to share your skills or learn new ones all whilst making new friends.
Cost is £2 per person – including tea/coffee and biscuits. Booking is essential

Seated Chair Based Excercise
Tuesday 12:30pm - 1:15pm
This exercise class is tailored for the over 50’s and can be done standing or seated. This form of exercise is use to help prevent falls by improving balance, muscle power and mental stimulation. A great way to keep active, this is an instructor lead class (please arrive 10 min early to discuss any health problems with the instructor). Cost is £3 per session Booking is essential

Tai Chi
Wednesday 12:45pm - 1:45pm
Tai Chi improves balance and co-ordination, strengthens the muscles and improves breathing functions. Men and women are both welcome. If you are attending for the first time it is important to please arrive 10 mins early to discuss any health issues and concerns you may have so that the instructor is aware and can ensure you have a safe enjoyable time.
This is led by an instructor and costs £3 per person. Booking is essential

Places of Welcome
Wednesday 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Come along and have a FREE cuppa and snacks. This space is an opportunity to come and meet people, get to know your neighbours and make new friends and. Additionally, every fortnight we offer a warm lunch which comprises of soup and something sweet. Free Wi-Fi available.
All are VERY WELCOME to come and join us
Arts and Crafts Wellbeing Sesions
Thursday 10:30am - 12:00pm
All are welcome to come and share a safe space to have fun, meet new people and to learn new creative skills in a relaxed setting. The session is free and refreshments are included, so whether you are experienced or a complete novice, we would love to see you.
