Online Club
For those unable to get to a class, there is the online club. The club can help older people and those with long term health conditions to stay active and connected while they are at home. Thanks to the Tackling Inequalities Fund from Sport England and National Lottery, they are able to give six months free membership and a free resistance band to those referred through social prescribing or charities/organisations helping people to stay active and connected.
The Club includes exercise videos for all abilities including seated and standing routines, stretching, balance, beginner’s ballet, and jazz, strength circuits, seated Pilates and more. There’s also live exercise and activity sessions every weekday. And the Activity Club has art sessions, book club, healthy eating tips, quizzes, pharmacist’s and physiotherapist’s advice and cookery sessions so there’s lots to do and friendly people to chat with online.
You can use this form to nominate someone for 6 months free membership here - https://www.moveitorloseitclub.co.uk/nominate-an-older-person/
