- Birmingham Citizens Action Network
Through this funding, the Birmingham Citizens Action Network (B:CAN) will be delivering welfare benefits information, advice and guidance to 1200 people over the age of 18 years old in Birmingham who have mental health. Priority will be given to people with a CMHT and/or social prescriber.
We will be working with 1200 people per year to maximise income – these services will be delivered by 5 local charities that will have a city wide reach.
As the funding is still being mobilised the following will be worked out in the future:
- A landing page will be developed which will guide citizens and agencies to the organisation best placed to provide services
- The service is currently free however going forward there may be an admin fee for citizens which will be a nominal fee however will not exclude people from accessing the service.
