Allotments group that works for the benefit opf the local community. Alongside allotment space which can be rented the group proviode social events and a shop in which council products are sold. There are two sites, Wharfland allotment in Acocks Green and Clay Lane allotment site in South Yardley. The group promote their services via their website and the distribution of leaflets. There are no paid staff but several volunteers. The group would like to expand their reach by improving infrastructure to both sites to make them more accessible for potential disabled clients. There is a price structure for the allotments based on plot size and client age. For over 65s a mini space is 26 pounds a year, a small space is 32 pounds a year and a standard space is 47 pounds a year. Prices double for anyone under the age of 65.
