Library Services at Home - Birmingham Library

Library Services at Home is free service for Birmingham residents provided by Birmingham Library Services. We deliver library materials to people of all ages who find it hard to access their local library. If you love reading but age, disability caring responsibilities etc stop you from visiting the library, then let the library come to you. The service also provides reading collections to residents who live in sheltered/retirement accommodation.

We provide a monthly supply of reading material brought directly to your door by dedicated, trained and experienced staff. The service has access to the same range of materials as users of Community Libraries and can reserve items free of charge. The service also delivers to residential homes/sheltered accommodation.

The service is provided by dedicated and trained library staff who will deliver books to your door on a monthly schedule. They are happy to correspond with a nominated person of your choice if this would be easier for you, no assessments regarding your health or current medical conditions are required and any personal information is strictly confidential.

All Library Services at Home staff are issued with a Birmingham City Council photo identity card and have a DBS check. For more information or to apply for the service, please call 0121 464 1118 or email library.services.at.home@birmingham.gov.uk.
