Acocks Green Men's Shed is modelled on the original sheds which were set up in Australia in response to concerns about the poor physical and mental health conditions being exhibited by many older men. Acocks Green Men's Shed purpose is to help alleviate social inclusion, isolation and loneliness among (mainly) older men. In our case, we also welcome women experiencing similar conditions. Part of our rationale is to provide an accessible, warm, welcoming and friendly space where people can gather, to enjoy a 'cuppa ', and a chat with others. In addition, our small supervised workshop is available where simple woodworking facilities are available should members wish to engage. Also provides a newsletter to members.
It runs every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10AM - 2PM
