Bold Actions recognises that loneliness and social isolation is a growing public health concerns in our ageing society and can significantly impact mental health. While these experiences occur across the lifespan of any person, many individuals aged over 50 are at risk of social isolation and will experience some degree of loneliness later in life. This project is a targeted intervention to reduce the impact of these detrimental factors, demonstrating our understanding and care for the mental health of adults over 50

Steps to a Healthy Life Project is about improving physical health and empowering adults over 50 in the Erdington community to take control of their wellbeing. By creating a supportive and connective environment, we aim to inspire and motivate individuals to socialise and embark on their health journey with confidence.

In addition to engaging adults over 50 in healthy physical activity, line dancing is a perfect exercise for improving coordination and balance, increasing cardiovascular health and brain memory, and being an effective treatment for Alzheimer's, dementia, and depression.

Eating a well-balanced diet is essential to staying healthy as we age. It can help adults over 50 maintain a healthy weight, stay energised, and get the necessary nutrients. It also lowers the risk of developing chronic health conditions, such as heart disease and diabetes.

THIS IS A FREE OVER 50 ACTIVITY EVERY MONTH ON SATURDAY FRPM 5PM TO 7PM
